GRATITUDE AND THE JOURNEY OF JUPITER

It’s the end of Jupiter’s journey through its own sign from the last 12 months. It’s a long, lovely voyage of expansion and optimism when Jupiter visits Sagittarius. As it gets ready to leave, it will be joined by Venus on Sunday November 24th. It’s a beautiful connection. Venus is the planet of love, friendship, creativity and being social. When it joins Jupiter those qualities are expanded and we usually experience something very happy and satisfying.

Venus and Jupiter met up in conjunction on January 22nd. This is an amazing moment on Sunday because it is happening for the second time in 10 months. A most fortunate aspect, we look to our earlier experience in this year to see if there is a similarity. What was going on for you in your life then? What abundance or stroke of luck did you experience? Was someone being generous to you? Perhaps you started a lovely project or met some new friends. These are moments of gratitude - times when we can reflect upon our lives, where we’ve been in this 2019 year and have gratitude for all that we have and what we will have. To send our gratitude into our own future is a very powerful connection with our future.

In the meantime, there will be a New Moon in Sagittarius on Tuesday November 26th. This is always a positive, encouraging, festive New Moon as it ushers in the holiday season. But this one is the 2nd and last New Moon in Sagittarius while Jupiter is there visiting its own sign, the first one being last December 7, 2018. Jupiter will not return to Sagittarius for another 12 years, so let’s enjoy this bright moment while it is here. Between these two aspects - Venus with Jupiter and the New Moon in Sagittarius, use these energies to create a new paradigm in your world.

Once Jupiter is finished traveling in its own sign, it will enter Capricorn on December 3rd and remain there for one year. Jupiter in Capricorn is much more of a serious tone and requests that we act with the highest of integrity. We will then have 3 planets traveling through Capricorn, as Jupiter will be joining Saturn & Pluto there. Capricorn is not exactly Jupiter’s favorite place in the zodiac, as it is exalted in the opposite sign of Cancer, so Jupiter in Capricorn is the placement of its fall. This isn’t a tragic placement, by any means, it just indicates that Jupiter’s qualities of bigness and risk taking are narrowed by Capricorn’s essence of maturity and proper planning. In this past year, we have dreamed big dreams and put our wishes into motion, we’ve realized what we are capable of achieving. Once Jupiter enters Capricorn, our goal is to materialize what we’ve put forward, to bring into the world what we’ve connected to in the ethers. Again, this is where gratitude is important as we seek to manifest our dreams, we want to be grateful for how our goals unfold - that is true manifestation, having gratitude for something that hasn’t appeared in our lives yet. It’s our faith - there’s Jupiter again - that we are on the correct path and are creating a new future for ourselves.

Jupiter will naturally connect with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn in the coming year, but not when the two are conjunct. Jupiter will have its own dialogue with each planet separately, which is something we will contend with throughout 2020. In the meantime, use these last days of Jupiter in its own sign to decide what you are creating to make your life and the world a better place.
