BIG DECISIONS FOR A TURNING POINT
An enormous amount of astrological transitions is upon us. Firstly, on early Sunday May 23rd, Saturn turned retrograde, as it does every year for 5 months. With this planet in the sign of Aquarius, we take a step back in these next months to where we have been since February to go deeper into the work we began in the Aquarius region of our astrological charts. What did you begin during the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius last December? What changed in the following months? Where did you feel you needed to spend a lot of your attention. It's important to realize that there is another layer of deeper work that will be a great accomplishment by the time you are finished in October when Saturn goes direct. If you apply yourself consciously and work with the energies, it should turn out to be a very satisfying experience. Aquarius is an area where we need to bring in higher consciousness, take risks and deviate from the norm. You may have felt you've accomplished a lot since the beginning of the year, until these last few days of the retrograde when you realized how much more there is to learn and achieve. Dig in deep with all your heart and work with the knowledge and expectation that you will achieve your goals.
Next is the eclipse that will happen on May 26th, which is a super moon total lunar eclipse in Sagittarius. This is a very powerful eclipse because the Sun is in Gemini, opposite the Moon in Sagittarius and this eclipse is placed close to the Nodes of Destiny. The closer the eclipse is to the Nodes, the more impact we will feel. Since the eclipse happens at the South Node, we need to be reminded to not indulge our old emotional habits and patterns. This is a bit of a tall order, because the strength of the eclipse on the heels of Saturn’s retrograde can make us feel like we are stuck in the same old pattern, not getting anywhere. That here we are again, trying to reach our goals, but feeling like we are on the same old treadmill. The North Node in Gemini inspires us to turn our direction there, to new ideas, summoning our creativity and unafraid to express our the new direction life is taking us in.
Yes, I said new direction - because despite how we feel, we are at a turning point. It may appear to us that we are stuck, but in actuality there is a part of us that wants to play it safe and stay where we have been most of our lives. This is always what happens - when a turning point is upon us we get cold feet at the last minute. Let's face it, the world is different and we have all changed as a result of it. So what are your new goals? What can no longer stay in your life the way it has been? And what can no longer stand in your way? The important thing now is to connect with what you truly, deeply want in your life and make your plans to go get it. There are some things that are non-tangible - such as a deep feeling of peace and joy, these are goals too. For those elevated emotions, I think the way into them is by meditation. The more you attract that feeling, the more you feel that in your heart, the more you will create it in your life. Surround yourself with the emotions you want to feel every day, get excited about your life. It has to happen in the field first before it can happen materially in your life.
Then there is our old friend Mercury retrograde, which occurs on the 30th of May until June 22nd in the sign of Gemini. Mercury has already had a conversation with Neptune last week - the planet of communication speaking with the planet of vision. Then this week Venus will have the same conversation with Neptune, then Venus will meet with Mercury at the very point where Mercury is going to retrograde. This is important for a number of reasons. Venus is the planet of what we desire, relationships and finances. It would seem that the very things we desire most are about love and money. But Venus and Mercury will have this conversation and Mercury will go backwards for 3 1/2 weeks and take into consideration and work on the conversation around love and money. This is not a time to start something new, this is a time to go back and review what it is you truly want and be extraordinarily clear about that. The more laser focused you are the better chance you have of achieving what you want. Again this goes back to what I said earlier with Saturn. It is quite possible that you go back and visit with someone you haven't seen in a while or you hear from someone you haven't heard from in a long time. A lot of visitation is taking place now because people have been isolated for a long time. So there will be some reuniting in a positive way.
The second eclipse will occur on June 10th. This will be a solar eclipse at the North Node in Gemini, less powerful than the first eclipse, but not less important because this is really going to help us get close to our true direction in which we are headed.
This is a very important time for all of us. I cannot express how determined each of us needs to be in our focus on what we wish to create in our lives. All the unnecessary chatter that goes on in our brains (Gemini again!) needs to take a backseat as we zero in on the important and most relevant elements of our lives. During this entire phase, we want to get the details of how we want it to be. As you work on this, put all self-criticism aside. As you dig deep to what you truly desire in your life, remember to love yourself unconditionally. Don't put your own needs aside. Take care of your own needs, this will go a long way to helping you reach your goals.
